Broome, Western Australia

Hallo, wieder mal aus Australien (und vermutlich auch noch oefter)
2000km sind schon unten und ich konnte immer noch nicht beweisen das die Erde dann doch ne Scheibe ist. Auch wenns dann doch die letzten Tage danach ausah als waer ich am ende der selbigen angekommen.
Bin im Moment in Broome, das nen Staedtchen mit blauem, blauem Wasser, Strand und ... und ? Ach ja Zivilisation, Supermaerkte, Wassertoiletten, Duschen und so.... Ja ganz nett nach soviel Bushcamping.

Was sonst noch geschah : Also ich bin von Katherine nach westen, viel verirren konnte ich mich gluecklicherweise nicht kam dann doch erst nach 600km die erste Abzweigung. Vorher war ich noch Kununarra, wollte bisschen arbeiten (!!!!!) hat aber nicht geklappt so bin ich dann weiter. Ja viel ist nicht so zwischendrin. Alle paar Tage kommt mal nen Roadhouse und ne Tanke und ab und an mal ne "Stadt" Das sind dann ne Tanke, nen Tante Emma Laden (der meistens zu ist) drei bis vier haeuser und ... ach eigentlich nix mehr weiter. Pennen tu ich meistens links im Bush oder ab und an auch rechts oder vielleicht mal an ner Rastanlage (foto) die so alle 50-150km kommen. Da gibts dann nen haufen Grey Normards (kein Tier, ein Rentner) und ne Bank+Tisch.
Ab und an kommt dann noch nen Roadtrain vorbei (bild beim naechsten mal) und sein Kollege, der Roadkill (foto). Den riech ich bevor ich ihn seh.

Ok Broome ist ganz nett aber ich muss weiter, verirr mich hier auch staendig - bin vielleicht highway geschaedigt.

Drei Resttage und ich fress mir nen kleinen Bauch an und drei weitere Tage und alles ist weg. Komm gluecklicherweise auch so langsam bisschen in Form ... bin allerdings noch weit von der idealen weg. Hatte die letzten Tage zwar nen haufen km allerdings auch 20 platten und auch meine reserveschlaeuche waren total mit Flicken ueberzogen. Hoffe das wird besser. Mein hinterteil macht weniger Probs mittlerweile. Ich gruess euch alle.

G'day from down under ! Darwin, NT

yea, since two weeks im already in Australia.

got to Darwin in the NT on a cold tuesday morning with my 5 dollar flight from Singapore ... and what to say ... everything changed. Goodbye Asia (for now) goodbye lazy life, goodbye foreign cultures, goodbye budget.

What i did so far : Walked around in Darwin for entire two day and organised everything. from Taxnumber to mobile (yea i have a mobile now!), to bank to job. Worked then for 5 Days (fixing escalators and miningmachines) picked my bicycle from DHL und went bush for a week doing on the way my first 600km via Kakadu National Park to Kathrine - from where i writhe in the moment.

What else i can talk of? Its wired to be in australia. Not only it is compared to Singapore very rual, but also my life canged a lot. Before i backpacked around, now im sitting on my bicycle, i work, i try to got used to the enormous prices for almost everthing ...

But to say, the last days where quit nice. I cycled through Kakadu, camped every night in the bush, cooked on the campfire under the enormous moon and the stars. Saw then a lot of wildlife too, Kangaroos, Crocs, Dingos, Birds ect.

Had now an restday in Kathrine, fixed a couple tinhgs on my bike an will head tomorrow on towards Kununurra, the next village on the west ... a fair 500km.

die lokale Sprache geht mir immernoch schwer von der Zunge, am ersten Tag verstand ich gar nix ,dann gings. Manchmal holper ich immer noch, was zb bedeutet "lets go to the pool and drink piss" ?
